Susan McMahon is a vocalist who lives and performs in the NY metropolitan area. Originally from Kansas City, she cites her influences as Billie Holiday, Rickie Lee Jones and Chaka Khan. Susan's vocals easily adapt to the various styles on her debut CD release, "The scheme of things," a ten track eclectic blend of Jazz and Pop genres with story based songs covering topics such as revenge, heartbreak, the fragility of life, random events, greed and the perspective of life after life. " I miss you so" is an intimate and moving early 1960's inspired pop ballad with lush vocal harmonies and a haunting lyric. Penned by Kathleen Koster and Scott Staton, "I miss you so" recalls another era but has a timeless message. Musicians include New York session players Jeff Ganz on Bass, Ray Marchica on Drums, Gary Kellor on Sax and Denny Leroux on guitar. The recordings were engineered and mastered by Larry Alexander and produced by Scott Staton.
