My name is Nathan Clapper and I am a dreamer. From Day 1 I knew my life would be anything but typical. My goals rarely aligned with what my classmates desired. I never needed the acceptance letter from a big university or the accolades that came with a letterman jacket. All I needed was music. Who Am I? To say the least, I am not your average every day kid. I’ve had an interest in music, ever since I was little. I fiddled around on various instruments before sitting down with a trombone in fourth grade. I stuck with it, but I came to discover a burning passion for the bass guitar. With every show that I performed, I found that my appetite for musical performance was increasingly insatiable. Countless bands and over 500 performances later my hunger for music continues to be my driving force in life. Only you can limit how far you’ll go. Aim for the stars, then have a nice ride up. Being persistent was something that came easy in this area. I couldn’t help writing lyrics instead of notes during college lectures. I couldn’t help skipping class to find a piano or quiet place to play bass. I was always looking for that perfect song, a song that can bring optimism to those who feel limited in pursuit of their dreams.
