Cerebral Coretext is an independent emcee based in the Pacific Northwest for more than ten years. Between his groups (The Architex and Collective Influence) and solo endeavors, Cerebral has eight albums and over 500 shows to his name. He’s performed throughout California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, sharing stages with rap legends like RZA (Wu Tang), The Pharcyde, Hieroglyphics, and countless others. Cerebral plays a significant role in his local community in Eugene, Oregon, hosting a long-running hip hop showcase that boasts touring acts from all over the U.S. and Canada. His live band, Analog Monday, is currently recording their debut. Cerebral’s second solo album, Polarities, is due in May. Partnered with acclaimed beat-maker Durazzo and veteran producer Sammy Warm Hands, it's undoubtedly his finest work to date. Polarities portrays the duality of an artist’s life. One moment he’s displaying the confident braggadocio of a veteran emcee, the next he’s feeling lost in pursuit of an elusive dream. He is at once serious and humorous, concrete and abstract, cynical and idealistic, confident and insecure.
