About ‘Loud And Clear':

This album encompasses many of the trials of my life. My inspiration usually comes when I am on my way back up from a knockdown. Many of these songs were written after gaining perspective about a certain situation or emotion. They were created in a variety of places from a mothball, spider-infested cabin in North Carolina to an overcrowded 28-hour bus ride in Argentina. Several were written in closets.

There was no real plan in the writing of the tracks. I find the more I push for a certain kind of feeling or topic, the worse off I am. I am learning just to sit down and allow whatever is supposed to come out to guide me. I am inspired by so many different kinds of music that I can’t seem to keep within one genre for very long. I love variety. I don’t think I will ever write a song that is so similar to the next that the tracks can fade into each other. It is my goal as a songwriter for listeners to bring their own experiences to the music and to take their own interpretations away.
