A HipHop formation from Zwolle, The Netherlands. Consisting of Donny Jab (MC), High Goose (Drums), Timbo Slice (Bass) and Mr. Mon-Key (Keys). They make the Krew-funk. In the spring of 2012 four inspired musicians came together at the occurrence of relaxation. They went out jamming together and recorded that session. It was obvious for the four companions to honour this fortuitous acquaintance by forming a band. During the next half year they were getting to know each other and their musical interests better and better. In this way they were able to come to a fusion of four different yet corresponding musical preferences. By autumn 2012 they started to write songs for an EP. When Christmas Holidays were at full blast, The Krew was so as well. They managed to record around 9 complete songs. During these recording sessions The Krew wasn't alone. They captured two jams on which Levien Lockefeer accompanied them on his guitar. Another two songs were supplemented by songstresses we came to know in Zwolle. The 28 minute EP is meant to be listened at once, as a whole. The Zoo Krew will take you through a series of contemplative, reflective, relaxing and story-telling songs. So sit back and get as comfortable as you possibly can (by any means necessary) so that The Zoo Krew will be in full effect.
