The ‘Subvert EP’ is only the second official release from The Raged, yet it is already gaining support from Radio1 and XFM. Hailing from Leeds, UK, The Raged are a fully formed live band with their roots heavily planted in drum & bass, techno and breaks, regularly sharing the same stage as the likes of Rockwell, Far too Loud, Dub Phizix, Adam Freeland, Shapeshifter, the Scratch Perverts and more. Expect furious baselines, cinematic soundscapes and peak time monsters. SUBVERT What a riotous start to the EP, with the tempo maxed and the beats furious. All the while, a chorus of screaming and whirring synths engage in conflict with an absolutely furious rumbling bass line, it briefly descends into a dark and sinister breakdown, giving you little chance to brace yourself, before it smashes your head in with the drop…. now is the time to Subvert. MAKE IT MOVE FT RAPHAEL ATTAR Cinematic in scope and unwavering in design, "Make It Move" is an anthemic, peak-time, "hands in the air" behemoth of a track. With the vocal talents and passionate flow of Raphael Attar (Paper Tiger), "Make It Move" is full of energy and fervour and absolutely convinces you to dance. MY EYES FT HANNAH SMALL After a chance meeting at their debut EP launch party, it was only a matter of time before The Raged got Hannah Small into the studio to put the finishing touches to this breakbeat anthem. Full of melodic evolving synths, screaming fx and topped off with Hannah's seductive vocals, "My Eyes" will leave you wanting more. EXISTENCE The final track written for the EP, relentless and techy, Sci-Fi inspired, hard hitting and dark as f**k, with its face ripping bass line drawing influence from the origins of Dn'B. SUBVERT (CLUB MIX) The full version of ‘Subvert’ provides near 8 minutes of high octane Drum and Bass and allows the listener to become totally immersed in the beat, with the tempo maxed and the beats furious. At almost 9 minutes long, the extended version will take you on an epic journey, through pounding, filthy half-time sections, hypnotic leads, seriously catchy vocals and a 4 min outro… that's almost a tune in itself! MY EYES (INSTRUMENTAL) Without the vocals of Hannah Small, "My Eyes gains a darker more combative vibe, full of melodic evolving synths and screaming fx, resulting in something that wouldn't go a miss in a film score.
