It's out of doubt that the Turmspringer duo play a very important part in Golden Gate's history. They have been one of the first resident DJs and techno pioneers in the club. Now after 13 years hand in hand, it's time to give tribute to all the years. "Belleville Walk" seams to reflect the early years and implies a retro touch with a repetitive pattern layered with diverse Leads and Polysynths carried by an impulsive beat and a rushing percussion section. From the first second on, it flows and evokes impressions of Detroit's Belleville, the urban district where Techno started to breath. A melancholic string melody gives us the remaining nostalgia of the old days. The Autotune remix is a wonderful minimal interpretation of the theme. Instead going upfront like the original it has more the essence of a secret weapon coming from the back door with a laid-back groove, what could catch you for hours. Outstanding here, is the steady thrifty bass toped with a cool down pitched voice. "Stupid Thought" accomplished the release with a funny message, you won't miss, take care to what you are listening, especially on the dance floor!
