The past 10 years have been a special time for Pickathon, seeming like only yesterday we wandered down Pumpkin Ridge towards Hornings Hideout for the first time that memorable September of 1999. Fast forward now to 2009, running late as usual on the completion of this (magnificent) double CD, and we are reminded yet again of how special and timeless it all is. 2008 brought the biggest crowd, most eclectic lineup, and saw Pendarvis Farm at its best. This will be the 9th Pickathon CD, and like any proud parent, it makes the eyes water to see them go. There have been many hours spent with all of the recordings from the 10th Annual Pickathon, and by and large we agree that this is an amazing batch of music. We hope you enjoy, and plan on making the annual trip to Pendarvis Farm the first weekend of August every year from now until eternity.
