简介
"It's some kind of sensual joy to hear and see Jeremy indulge in his art, he does it so well." -Robert Urban, URBAN PRODUCTIONS, NYC You may find Jeremy Blue center stage in a large club, or you may find him providing a warm ambiance of sound and meaning in an intimate café. In either case - and those in between - audiences find themselves both thrilled and eased by the voice and acoustic guitar of Jeremy Blue. Influenced by the vocal dare of Cyndi Lauper, the simplicity of Joni Mitchell, and the focused intensity of Jeff Buckley, Jeremy calls his music "soulfolk." It's an acoustic blend of folk and pop, with twists of soul and rock - carefully crafted, straightforward, and sincere. Performing from Manhattan to Massachusetts, from Connecticut to Highland New York, Blue's music is finding a home in Northeastern USA. Jeremy has written both lyrics and music for most material, yet also enjoys putting original music to the text of great writers like Langston Hughes and William Shakespeare, as well as freshly interpreting well-known songs from the 20's and 30's. Some self-initiated "spiritual homework" led Jeremy to founding DreamBorn Productions in Pawling, NY. Dedicated to encouraging musical expression, DreamBorn produces live performances as well as classes and workshops. In April 2002, DreamBorn released Blue's first full-length recording, Embracing This, featuring ten original songs, as well as a blues/ballad rendition of "If I Only Had a Brain." Jeremy has been welcome by a diversity of audiences. Perhaps Aynsley Vandenbroucke, founder of Greenwich Village's GATHERING GROUP, understands why. She writes, "Jeremy Blue is a true performer... the perfect combination of raw energy and immaculate technique."
