简介
From the moment he heard the melancholy cries of the bandoneón and the rhythmic intensity of the Orquesta Tipica, Joe Powers fell in love with the Tango. Following up on his 2007 top selling CD Baby album, Amor de Tango, once again Joe traveled half-way across the world from his home in Portland Oregon, to record with some of the finest Tango musicians in Buenos Aires. His new album, "Apasionado" features six famous Tangos, and six original Tango-fusion compositions, accompanied by Abel Rogantini (piano), Pablo Motta (bass), Esteban Falabella (guitar), Diego Alejandro (percussion), and the guitar duo, Los Hermanos Faggiano (Matías and Agustín Faggiano). The title track, "Apasionado", is dedicated to pianist/composer, Octavio Brunetti who passed away in 2014. A live performance of Joe and Octavio performing Piazzolla's "Oblivion" is also included as the closing track on the album. Track listing with composers: 1. El Torito - Angel Villoldo 2:29 2.
