简介
The New Danger is the long awaited second album by Mos Def, released on October 19, 2004. It features not only hip hop but rock, blues and soul songs as well. Track 5, "The Rape Over" was removed from the second pressing of the album due to comments such as "some tall Israeli is runnin' this rap sh*t", a reference to Lyor Cohen, former head of Def Jam. The song is also a take on Jay-Z's song "Takeover." It also retains the sample of The Doors' song "Five to One", which was used on the original Jay-Z track. Both songs were produced by Kanye West.
