The newest beat tape from Phoenix, Arizona's own SoundRich is packed with his further progressed signature style. The 16 tracks show great dynamic and variability as well as a knowledge of music and meter complexity. It's apparent SoundRich favors the elements of Trap music but has further refined them without the blitz bombastic-ness of Southern Trap in replacement of a more textured and ambient style. The drums and percussion give groove and accents while also providing tone and feel with effects and filters playing along nicely. The progression and passion compared to previous works is obvious. Most every song favors the 808 drum style accompanied by thick crisp snares and dancing hi hats but the changes are frequent enough to keep the listener engaged. Rappers and vocalists will find this set of songs particularly interesting if they are able to write to the full songs, with most tapping out at around the 4 minute mark, SoundRich has done the groundwork for other performers to pick up and create truly incredible pieces of music for the new age.
