You are the sum of your memories. If you lose your memories, the person you are ceases to exist. "Inside Your Mind" was recorded at Konk Studios in London, home studio of the Kinks, by three life-long Kinks fans: Patrick Costello, Geoff Lewis and Chris Griffiths. The project was every bit as much about making memories as it was about making music and we were delighted to have the resources of Konk all to ourselves for a day. Having learned to play and write music by dissecting Kinks songs that were recorded in that very room at Konk, it was a day we'll never forget...provided we don't lose our ability to remember. All proceeds from the sale of "Inside Your Mind" will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Ro DiLeonardi, a member of my family who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's disease. This once-vibrant, intelligent and fun person has been turned into a zombie by this horrible disease. Even though she's technically alive, she has lost all of her memory so there's no reminiscing about the past, enjoying the present or planning for the future with her. She has even lost the ability to communicate in any meaningful way, essentially having forgotten how to speak. There's no way to reverse her condition but the Alzheimer's Association funds research to find the cause of the disease to prevent others from suffering in the future. Please help by buying our song.
