Ray Douglas - The Lone Starfire aka Douglas Ray Mitchell was born and raised in Wellington ... A small town in The Texas Panhandle. He now lives in Amarillo, Texas. His first band was "The Telstars" formed when in High School. In College he joined "The Starfires" and played weekend dances in places like Memphis, Turkey, Clarendon, Hollis, Hedley, Childress and Wellington ... all in Texas of course ... except Hollis which is in Oklahoma. During this time he began writing songs and continues to do so today. "The Complete Ray Douglas" is a collection of all his best which he recorded for the benefit of Artists, Labels and Publishers looking for new marterial.
