Satirah Coming from FreekieTwinnz to Obie & Markiss I was stepping into the Life of Christ but I need Him to watch over me because I was lost and didn’t know what to do next to live B.A. I felt like the worst Christian in the world, but God came through and set the path out for me to follow. 3: A SONG LIKE THIS - feat. Chinua Hawk I wrote this song at a real low point in my life where I was dealing with a lot of stress. I was dealing with a lot of problems from my Family, Friends, my girlfriend, my job, and within myself. I called my boy KT and said I need a beat to express some things that’s on my mind and a couple hrs later he had the beat ready. After writing the song, I called my brother and asked him could he bless me with his voice since it was his song that inspired me to write it and to change. 4: WALK WIT ME - feat. Sequoia KT gave me this beat and immediately God gave me the vision and direction. The song tells a story of how I didn’t want to be a Christian Rapper and my musical journey of how I became an artist for God. Different things influenced some of the content of this song, but the main thing was “2 Be Continued” on the Obie & Markiss CD. Check it out and see what I’m talking about. 5: THE REASON WHY (Get Em Up) - feat. Go2 When I heard this beat I already knew I wanted Vizun of Go2 on it. I basically thought of a good hype song to say if you saved or not. We are B.A. Born Again and not ashamed to say it so this song was made for you to Get Em Up if you are saved. 6: KNOCK DOWN This inspiration to writing this song came from sitting down and hearing knock down in my head every time turned the beat on. So God gave me the vision that He is taking over the Charts and Ill be one of the tools that He will used to Knock Down any artist that is in the Top Spots. So I thought of the many artists on the billboard charts and said ok God I’m ready to represent. I made it clear that it’s not a diss song, but that I was just claiming what the Lord will make happen. I encourage any secular artist to get saved or rap for Christ without condemning them, because I’m only here to inspire and motivate a change. 7: WHERE THE PARTY AT? - feat. Go2 I was finishing up the Album and I felt like something was missing to I got my boy to make me a party beat and when I got it I was like that’s it…I heard to concept from God and I was like we can really make this song reality. We can literally take over a club and save lives but it has the whole body of Christ not just a small group. 8: STEADY MOVING - feat. Steve Flow & Satirah I had to rep for home on this one and straight spit. Being a Born Again Christian we don’t slow up we keep it moving. People get relaxed when they get saved but I feel like if I can grind for the world I can grind harder for God. So no matter what you are doing we are steady moving in Christ because He is always doing something. 9: LETS TAKE A RIDE - feat. Glenda Allen This song almost didn’t make the album until I added Glenda. I wasn’t really feeling what I did at first. But I wrote this song with the thought of there is so much going on in the world but we just don’t see it. So let’s take a ride and see what going on in our lives, community, society, and country. If just take a ride we can see the good and the bad, we can see what God what’s us to see if we take Jesus with us. If you take Jesus with you, you will be able to know what you can do to make a change. 10: THE INTERLUDE This is where the album switches tones. This is the break from my ministry entertainment to ministry of my heart. Jesus is my Lord, the savior who died for…our sins. 11: A SONG LIKE THIS (Revisited) - feat. Chinua Hawk & Sequoia When I wrote the original song a lot of time had past so I went back and revisited the track and made a remix with all new verses, changed the hook, and changed up the beat a little. On the Remix I am reflecting on the original song and telling you how I felt when I made it and what I did afterwards. 12: SHE LOVES ME - feat. Tim Brittian I was inspired to write this song based off experience. I’m a single guy but in my past women that I may have been interested in or interested in me often said that they loved me. However to me their actions displayed that they didn’t. I’m also guilty of this, but it’s my song and I’m the one talking to God about it.  lol. So I told God what was going on and them I told Him what I was looking for and it all came out in this song. 13: LOVE HURTS, LOVE WORKS - feat. Chinua Hawk Wow! This song will blow you away. I wrote this at the end of a long term relationship that I thought was always going to be more. This is a real emotional song that I poured my heart out to Jesus about how I was feeling, asked Him why, and what is love. I was basically a 3 way conversation I was having with Him, her, and myself. If you have the Barack Obafemii Mixtape CD you will here bits and pieces of the situation and what God had to help me with. 14: CLEANING OUT MY HEART - feat. Samantha Cardwell Blessed by Samantha’s beautiful voice, she brings the feeling that I needed to get across based on the previous song. I wrote this song because I needed heart surgery, by the Lord. I had heart pains from heart break. God is my doctor so in this song I told Him to operate on me and clean out everything so I can love again. Clean out the areas of my life that I blocked from Him, anyone, and anything from getting to. 15: NEVER KNEW - feat. J9 & Akeisha Thomas Never wanting to Love again because I broke me down and give me a feeling that I never felt before. I found out that Love Hurts but it also Works. I found out that God can clean out your heart but I never knew that I could love just Him. To love anybody I have to first love Him. I gave my heart to God and He started blessing me, so that’s what I express in this song. I never knew I could love Jesus and Jesus alone, then He will bless me with someone to love me the way I love Him. 16: I LOVE YOU- feat. Byron L. Broussard This song means so much to me in so many ways. Having a blessing from my spiritual father and sister brings a joy to my heart like never before. If it wasn’t for God using him I would have never found love at the Love Center or love God the way that I do now. So this song I’m expressing my love for God after all I been through. This is my love letter to the Lord. 17: UNCONDITIONALLY - feat. Chinua Hawk This song practically written by my brother wraps it all up. From being told I love you, followed by being hurt by love, then finding a love for God, I finally found someone to love me unconditionally. It feels so good to be loved unconditionally no matter what I did. Someone to have my back, forgives me, and has no conditions on the love for me. I found that Jesus loves my unconditionally. 18: A HAPPY DAY (La La La) REMIX- feat. Esha The remix to an awesome song by Esha that talks giving you problems up and living life the way God intended- Happy.. After all I have been through there was light at the end of my tunnel. I saw her perform this song and I feel in love with it and wanted to make a remix. God created an opportunity and a wonderful relationship for me to express myself on this amazing song. When you have Christ and give it all to Him there is always a Happy Day. After you give you problem to God you can take a vacation, because He got you! So now I can sit on the beach in the Bahamas and sing 19: REAL LIFE, REAL MUSIC, ITS MY TESTIMONY- feat. Chinua Hawk, Steve Flow, & Byron L. Broussard Well this is what the album is about Life, Music, and Testimony. This song brings so much to the table that I had to be the closer. If you are looking for a change, God is the eraser of your past and everything you do for Him is going to last. First you have to make a change. If you listening to this CD you will see I made a choice and I would love for you to do the same. It took me 4 years to get to where God needed me to be and it took that long to finish this CD. This song wasn’t even on the original track listing, but of course there were about 10 different ones. But the Lord knew His plans for me, so on this song God cleaned me out, I’m a new man. 20. THE INVITATION The invitation to recieve Christ into your life.
