Evelys Silva was born on December 4, 1987 in Hollywood, Florida, from Puerto Rican descent. Evelys is a singer, writer, composer, musician and Pre-K teacher. She is currently executive director of a children's day care in Miami, FL. Her parents, Mercy and Bobby Santiago were youth pastors for 15 years at the Assemblies of God. She was born and raised in the Church atmosphere and first debuted as a Christian singer in her childhood in the New Jerusalem Church in Pompano Beach. After graduating from high school she recorded her first demo with singer and producer DJ Pablo, which she ministrated to many young people around the reggaeton genre. Now that the years have gone by she has chosen a new genre that is praise and worship. Evelys is currently youth pastor with her husband Jose Silva at her mother's church (Pastor Mercy Santiago) Iglesia Cristianos Unidos in Miami, Florida. Now Evelys has sung over many churches in Florida with the anointing and grace that God has given her. Recently, Evelys began writing and singing her first professional album with Borys Sanchez, producer and leader of Face2Face, the new album was launched July 8, 2011 entitled "Mi Mayor Inspiration", which means "My Greatest Inspiration". This album is varied with different genres of music such as ballads, cumbia, salsa, and soft rock, and one in English, to the delight of all. Today we give the Glory to God for this great success. The aim of Evelys is to be a great example for many young women and adolescents and to travel the world spreading the word of God through her music, inspired by God.
