简介
The debut release of their CD, Meet the Hooligans of Bohemia, is a zesty musical slice of Jen and the Juice’s ability to captivate their audience with a pure original sound. Jen also had the pleasure to welcome some of Asheville’s A-list musicians to be a part of the juicy 10-track recording. The first track, Wripples, a low key Latin groove, interweaves the delightful jazz guitar of Libramento with the amazing back-up vocals from Stephanie Morgan (of Stephanie’s Id) and the percussion of Kinq Knapp. After that, the listener is hooked instantly to hear the infectious rhythm and lyrics of It Takes Two also with Stephanie Morgan displaying her skills. The Damn Song erupts into a delicious explosion of melody and harmony as Ryan Cox (guitar) and Bill Cardine (Dobro® ), of The Biscuit Burners, play effortlessly over the vocals of Jen and Valorie Miller. Appalachia’s favorite, Woody Woods, burns up the acoustic guitar on Will’s Song and I might be Drunk. While Dave Muhlethaler brings his fiddle swing to Bohemian Hooligan, world renown Billy Constable (Sassagrass, Doug Dillard band, Hypnotic Clam Bake, sit ins w String Cheese Incident) rips the strings (times three) on the bluegrass inspired, American Way, playing the guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Libramento’s jazz guitar gets super sweet on Top Shelf Suga’, and Butt Sweat and Beers slams the groove down like it’s crushing a beer can. Finally, Circus Pills features the docile stereophonic effects of Jonathan Bryan (Sound Engineer) and Joe Buzzelli (Producer), and Jen gives a dazzling finger style performance on her guitar while singing, blindfolded, balanced on a tight rope. Always the affluent lyricist, Jen Greer’s groove-able poetry adds to the emotion and soul of the musical talent that backs up everything she sings about Life, love and the constant pursuit of loving life. The music is sweetly delicious, truly irresistible and melts in your ear just fine. Rolling melodies gently cruise through a lyrically painted canvas and stories dot the landscape of their tunes.
