Shining a positive light on the Canadian country music scene, Regina, Saskatchewan singer/songwriter ALEX RUNIONS continues to grow his successful career while finding a home on the airwaves. Nominated for 3 2015 SCMAs in the categories of Male Vocalist of the Year, and Fan's Choice Entertainer of the Year, his latest single at radio, 'Little Bit of Sunshine' is also nominated for Single of the Year. His passionate dedication to song writing and co-writing has contributed to becoming a highly sought after musician. A tireless devotion to an honest and heartfelt approach to his music has helped him resonate with an already dedicated fan base while garnering many new fans and friends along the way. Performing across the province and throughout the country for over a decade, ALEX RUNIONS has taken the stages at Big Valley Jamboree, Craven Country Jamboree, Dauphin Countryfest and is a regular on the Canadian Country club circuit including Eldorado Country Rock Bar (Regina), Ralph's (Medicine Hat) and Ranchman's (Calgary). He's opened for many prominent country acts including Gord Bamford, Aaron Pritchett and Rodney Atkins while also closing out performances from Dallas Smith, The Road Hammers and Neal McCoy. Charitable heart and minded, ALEX RUNIONS was also involved in the Yorkton, Saskatchewan floods relief concerts. Winning the 2013 Big Dog 92.7FM/SaskMusic 'Next Big Thing' competition opened the door for his sophomore album, SOUTH OF THE CITY, recorded at two-time CCMA Studio of the Year, MCC Recording Studios. His second single, 'Passenger Seat' launched to country radio nationwide in May with the CD release scheduled for summer 2015.
