简介

External Menace formed in 1979 in Coatbridge, near Glasgow,Scotland. They were typical of the Second Wave of British punk bands - faster and rougher than the class of 77, but not an all out UK82-style attack -yet. The band played out constantly and their sound begain to evolve into the UK82 mold, taking the existing punk sound and adding the incessant, heavy drumbeats and distorted guitar sound of Motörhead. They released the (now highly collectable) single "Youth of Today" on Beat The System records in 1982, followed up by "No Views" in 1983. Though they still played out regularly and recorded two or three more demos, the band didn't manage to get any more vinyl out, and disbanded in 1985. "Pure Punk Rock", a CD compilation of their work, was released by Captain Oi! in 1995. The band began recording again and put out several more releases. This split is the band's first official release of NEW material since 1998! The Droogettes were formed in Philadelphia in February 2013. Their vision was clear from their earliest conception, to provide the Punk and Oi! movement with an all-female alternative to a scene that is mostly dominated by males. Taking the song by 7 Seconds "Not Just Boys Fun" literally, these girls wanted to provide a voice, not just for a generation, but with a female's outlook and perception. Taking their image from a clockwork orange theme, these girls play Punk & Oi! influenced by bands like The Business, The Oppressed, Blitz and Cock Sparrer . This split is the follow-up to their 2014 CD mini-album on Creep Records.
