Jack Sawyer is a gringo who grew up in a godless christian home in southern New Jersey before breaking free and moving to the island of Puerto Rico as an adult. While his solo work is mostly quiet acoustic stuff, he is better known as the lead singer of United States of Me, a one-man band making progressive-post-punk-power-pop-rock-and-roll. He is currently pursuing enlightenment and recording under the name Jay EXCESS.
