Lyrics: I don't why we've invested so much in greed, cause it keeps getting us down We need to shift our focus to love and humanity, it's our responsibility now People, yeah people, gotta love one another, take care of each other Sisters, yeah brothers, gotta love one another, cause love is the answer Sweet sweet love, it's time to heal all the pain, let the rest go and let it slip away It's time to make a change, let our hearts take charge and lead the way People, yeah people, gotta love one another, take care of each other Sisters, yeah brothers, gotta love one another, cause love is the answer We are all entitled to live free and equal There is room for us all to live free as one people We are all entitled to live free and equal There is room for us all to live free as one people So be the voice of those who don't have one, let's make a change Show empathy and kindness, let's the way Oh I said So be the voice of those who don't have one, let's make a change Show empathy and kindness, let's the way This generation's gonna change it Ahh People, yeah people, gotta love one another, take care of each other Sisters, yeah brothers, gotta love one another, cause love is the answer People, yeah people, gotta love one another, take care of each other Sisters, yeah brothers, gotta love one another, because love is the answer Love is the answer credits released June 24, 2017 ---------------- Track credits: Written by Kristie McCracken Produced by Patrick "Dr. Watson" Quine for Watson Unlimited Music Recorded and mixed by Patrick "Dr. Watson" Quine at The Clinic Mastered by Brock McFarlane at CPS Mastering Kristie McCracken - Voice, Rhythm Guitar Patrick "Dr Watson" Quine - Lead Guitar, Bass, Voice Mary Ancheta - Keys Richard Brown - Drums ---------------- Bio: Singer-Songwriter, Guitarist, Backing Vocalist Kristie McCracken is one of Vancouver’s most promising vocal talents. She is a WCMA 2016 'Urban Artist of the Year' nominee for her debut solo album titled 'Let Go & Grow'. The album showcases her vocal talent but also hints at the breadth of her songwriting – ranging from heavily latin influenced acoustic numbers like “Lullaby”, a song written to her brother while he struggled with addiction, to the neo-soul and even vintage soul sounds of “Retrograde” and “Where Are You”. The album is produced by Patrick Watson Quine of Watson Unlimited Music, and features a song co-written and produced by 3-time Grammy award winner Chin Injeti. She is also a member in Vancouver based bands Maiwah and Buckman Coe, and has performed alongside legends such as Jim Byrnes, Ken Boothe, Leroy "Heptones" Sibbles, Barrington Levy, Lee "Scratch" Perry, and Toots and the Maytals. Other internationally acclaimed artists Kristie has performed with include Shaggy, Easy Star All Stars, Kae Sun, Taj Weekes and Adowa, and Steele. She was a part of the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach Program as a teenager and volunteered for two years at Saint James Music Academy while studying music at University of British Columbia. She will graduate in June 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy at Capilano University after completing her internship in the Burn, Trauma, High Acuity Unit at Vancouver General Hospital as well as Edmonds Community School in Burnaby, BC. Kristie is currently crafting her next full length album with the help of friend and colleague Patrick Watson Quine of Watson Unlimited Music. She aims to raise awareness to the human potential for positive environmental and humanitarian change. Her newly released single titled "Love is the Answer" was inspired by her work in Music Therapy with refugee families from Syria, Iraq, and Azerbaijan. It's tasty neo-soul groove invites listeners to open their hearts and lead with compassion and kindness. Kristie's new album is sure to make an impression.
