Billabong Island Sound (B.I.S) is a collaborative project comprised of Roger "The hippie" Tausz and Alisha "The Aussie" Pattillo. The album is an exciting blend of electronic tracks, merged with beautiful melodies played by acoustical instrumentation of the woodwind variety. All tunes are original compositions, and some tracks feature guest Jazz artist selectively picked from the Houston scene. Billabong Island Sound will not only feed your ears with delicious sounds, it will also take you on a journey where you will visit a hybrid of electronic acid jazz trance influenced by funky soul rock sprinkled with love. Alisha Pattillo is a Houston based professional saxophonist and in August 2014 was approached by local Studio owner and engineer extraordinaire Roger Tausz about doing a collaborative project. Tausz already had a couple of electronic loops and bass riffs to which Alisha created form and wrote melodies to. From there they wrote new tunes together, and got additional musicians to join the project adding their own creative spin.
