In his latest release, Forgiveness, Telepathic Teddy Bear explores a deeper side of his music. Coming from his last EP where he took a series of five Thomas Cole paintings and musicalized them, this might be his most personal journey ever. His lyrics are more thoughtful, the synths have more dimension, the strings are more heartfelt and the beats more driven. After an EP that was praised as “an album made in a state of grace, a suffocating beauty bordering on genius,” “powerful and haunting” and “an impression of timelessness;” Forgiveness is his most assured work to date. The foundations of TTB’s philosophy can be heard throughout his work. His lyrical honesty, the audacious structural elements suggest at an attitude always striving for the edges, searching for limits. Philosophical contemplations wrapped inside the punch of deep kicks and emotional string harmonies give a perspective inside the complexity behind the artist which began since he was 9 years old when he couldn't reach the pedals the first time he took drum lessons. Telepathic Teddy Bear has spent considerable time in the studio this year producing his latest LP, scheduled to come out in early 2015, as well as producing and collaborating with the Grammy nominated Los Claxons and a promising mexican band called Clubz. He has also produced many tracks for the internationally acclaimed EDM DJ and entrepreneur Kryoman. Among his achievements, you can catch TTB’s music in many popular commercials from Nike, Jaguar, W Hotels, Blue Tomato, Loose Kid, K-Mart, Kickstarter and Sprint and his dedicated fans range around the 40K mark among his social networks. He recently played at the MTY City Fest and is scheduled to play at SXSW this coming March.
