The black represents any scars (emotional, abuse ect) and the butterfly represents change and beauty! This song reaches out to those females and remind them to not allow their scars make who they are. Whatever the scars are make them beautiful and become the beautiful butterfly you are! Once you begin to not let the scars of your past define who you are you can begin to reach out to others and pull them out there situation. As long as you see your past as ugly scars you will always be hiding. Lets no longer hide but take off and fly.
