简介
“Dulcinea” by TREMOLOCO Los Angeles and California mean so many things to so many people. Chuck Berry’s Promised Land, Bukowski’s L.A. from a forgotten era, East L.A., Hollywood, South Central, Deserts, Beaches, Oil Fields and Orchards. What does music sound like from a place like this? To it’s warm embrace and fertile ground were drawn Dust Bowl refugees, migrant farmers, cowboys, and blue bloods alike, bringing with them the rhythms and soul of home. What grew was Bakersfield Country, West Coast Jazz, Western Swing, Mexican Border Radio, Country/Rock etc…. Dulcinea was the idealized woman of Don Quixote’s imagination. Referring to someone as your “Dulcinea” implies hopeless devotion. Love and music are a bit like that, an idealized never-ending journey. It’s never quite as you imagine (usually harder). But so much more than you could have guessed. These songs describe this sort of musical and romantic crossing. From a Georgia rain to a serendipitous passing on a New Orleans streetcar, From Las Cruces, New Mexico to the Louisiana Gulf Coast, from L.A. to Mexicali. Listen closely and you’ll hear it. Wade through the textures, styles, and genres and you’ll feel it until you end up back home. Nothing need be said about the musicians who joined us. Look at the names. Listen and know the joy we had in making this journey.
