The Celestial Harp is a seventy-two stringed instruments with frets on each string. It was designed to play a horoscope. Each string is related to an I Ching Hexagram and teh stars in the sky are inlaid on the surface. All the strings radiate out from the centre. There is no real beginning or rending. The music goes out in all directions. It can be plucked, strummed, hammered and slid. It creates new innovative sound scapes. This music would fit nicely into movie scores.

Each piece on this cd is different. The first piece Return, The Turning point is the jazziest, with Brian Roche on the saxophone. Cooder Alert is an experiment in sliding and warping. Jupiter Before Impact was just that, an improvisation as Jupiter was about to be hit by comet fragments. The next four pieces are off of the same recording. Different tracks were done independently and at different times. The On one track Peter was humming and on another singing free form. These tracks were mixed together for its effect. Then the harp was removed from the mix and the voices were left alone. The last one wings, was just a creative take, fooling around after recording, but it provided a most unique song.

The last piece was made using an ebow on the harp, extending sounds.

This album itself represents a turning point in the music played on the celestial harp.
