简介
John Baxter returns with his sophomore album titled "Coldth". The album follows the story of a frigid night in winter leading to the warming, refreshing light of day. With this album, John attempts to extend beyond his usual musical pallet by employing several unique styles of instruments and formats for his music. Some of these include solo piano (Last Waltz), guitar ensemble (Interlude), and even a piece in the style of electronic dance music (Watchtower). But despite the great variety of instrumentation and style, the intimacy of a Neo-Romantic composer inundates each track. Each piece feels like a conversation, story, or scene. The title comes from the unfortunate lack of word for the possession of coldness in temperament. One can have warmth in personality, but, in English at least, one cannot have coldth.
