This second edition of "The Christmas Wish: Newfoundland Yuletide Favourites" includes 13 tracks of original and classic Christmas songs. The Christmas Wish 2 features the first-ever Christmas selection recorded by Carl Peters, "Gift From The Heart" and Joy Norman’s, beautiful version of the classic "Mary’s Boy Child". Terry Penney contributes a fabulous recording of the Steve Earle song, "Nothing But A Child" and The Punters perform the Roger Miller classic "Old Toy Trains". RASA’s "The Coventry Carol" is a beautifully haunting rendition of this old English classic, and Shanneyganock perform "We Three Kings" in a style that only they can. Shanneyganock also performs a new song written by Chris Andrews and Mark Hiscock, "Christmastime In Newfoundland". Dave Panting performs a beautiful medley of traditional carols on the mandolin, and also included are superb original tracks from Kenny Butler, Jim Payne (A Crowd Of Bold Sharemen), John Phillips and Carl Sooley (Cellar Door). SIMANI contributed their classic song "Any Mummers Allowed In?". This is without a doubt the most popular Christmas song to ever come out of Newfoundland.
