简介
What happens when you throw together influences from Pink Floyd, Masters at Work, Michael Nyman, Portishead, Mood 2 Swing, David Arnold, the love for David Lynch movie's, Soundtracks and a lot of imagination ? You get Eastman's debut album Flame. Originally Released in 2004, now Re-Mastered, Re-Packaged, added Bonus Tracks and Re-Released in 2007. Some of these influences are coming quite clear like in Come Forth where the dominant string arrangement resembles something Nyman might have come up with or dark moody trips as in My Right Hand, My Left Eye are from the deep corners of Portishead land just like the title track Flame itself. Then Eastman takes you on a trip with Twin Peaks like Jazz in Fire or gets you into sweaty filthy dance mood with Identity Crisis [wannaBu]. It's like listening to a soundtrack from a movie you think you may have seen and if you haven't you certainly wanna rent it out after. The Album was certainly made with intimate times in mind because there is certainly a sexual theme going thru the album .. and thats not a bad thing. The Love Edition features a rare remix of Running with Scissors by HiddenPleasures and the perfect closer Skin Burned (3rd Degree Burn) which leaves you wanting to play the album from the beginning again.
