This track showcases the youthful voice of Talita Long, mother of acclaimed actress Nia Long. The track is produced by former GAP Band member, arranger and producer Malvin Dino Vice The executive producer is veteran singer Richard M. Adams (Cashmeres/Sly Slick and Wicked). Talita's voice leaps and soars in the track complimented by an entertaining production filled with horn stabs and punches, and playful drops by baritone sax. This song should be very entertaining to the listener. Talita Long is a beautiful, multitalented expression of spirit best known for her incredible vocal gift. Born in Brooklyn, NY of Trinidadian parents, Talita Long grew up immersed in culture of the West Indies. Early in her career, Talita Long recognized the enduring value of education. Talita earned a B.F.A. from Cooper Union College of Art and Architecture and M.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. Blessed with a unique voice, Talita has mesmerized audiences across the nation with her sweet tone and five-octave range. Talita Long is also the mother of award winning Actress, Nia Long. Talita has worked with many music greats as a featured vocalist including Phil Upchurch, The Mizell Brothers (“N R Time”), Henry Franklin (“Follow Your Bliss” and “Tongues Unites”), Gene Russell (“You Are So Beautiful”, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”) and more. A talented composer for many years, Talita has recorded her music and performed in venues of all sizes. Her composition/recording credits include (“Back To You”, “Lies”, “It Could Have Been”, “Burning Star”, “Don’t Be Afraid”, “House Of Dreams”, and “Naughty World”, Produced and arranged by Kevin Toney. “Boys Will Be Boys”, produced and arranged by Larry Mizell. “Butterfly”, “Intentions”, and “She Wants To Know” with Stuart Brown, “Maybe I’ll Get Around To Loving You”, with Steve Stevens and Stuart Brown, “Dreams Of Love” with Clarence McDonald, “Remembering”, “Foreign Eyes”, “Teach Me”, and “Power Play” with Yul Lynn Hawkins (YB). “Surround You With My Love” with Yuseff Rahman. Talita is also a talented artist. Her paintings were recently featured at the African American Museum in Los Angeles, CA. and has been featured at the county museum of art in Los Angeles, CA. Talita continues to steadily produce a wide range of work, including oil painting, water colors, drawings and a variety of paint making techniques. Her work can be seen at the “Artpeace” Gallery in Burbank, CA. Talita's current project, "I'll Be Fine" is produced by producer/arranger Malvin Dino Vice (Gap Band). The song is written by Grammy nominated engineer Mark "5" Myers and Martika (Toy Soldiers) Marerro. The song is hauntingly reminiscent of musical offerings in the past by songbirds Denise Williams and Minnie Riperton. In I'll Be Fine Talita shows off her vocal range which is accompanied by a solid rhythm track, and painted by stabbing brass, and a playful baritone sax that starts each motif.
