Starbuks is set to release his debut audio/visual album Requiem For tha Streets: Meeting Mr. Cofey.This project is a journey through the life and times of one americas forgotten generation of 80's babies. The album starts off with “Welcome to the Show” laced with punch lines and a late night feel Starbuks rhymes over a live drums with a laid back introductory approach. Buks quickly follows it up with tracks like “Swallow Me whole” and the radio friendly street joint “Take ur Time” Featuring the boy boy young mess. Starbuks begins his transition into Mr. Cofey with the motivational single produced by Rawbeatzz “Hard work.” As Starbuks evolves into Mr. Cofey so does the music and the lyrical content with the cinematic live sound of “Fly on the wall” featuring the r&b artist Prince Paul. Or the bone chilling tale of “Round N Round” where Mr. Cofey tells a story of a friend addicted to opiates, all the while apologizing for the miss use of a lady friend. He also shows off his sense of humor with the pot induced “My Vice” and the hilarious liquor based party anthem “Party over here” Featuring Skitzo Scoe. Mr. Cofey begins to complete his metamorphosis and tie off the project when he enlists the help of his Alaska cohorts Bay Dilla and Josh Boots with “We On” Mr. Cofey Closes out the album with the Hip hop/fusion/gospel sound of “What am I ?” produced by Sean T Featuring the sultry Dice and long time artist/producer friend AD. This album contains the premier sound of Pacific Northwest Hip Hop enjoy!
