This album began life as a duet show (Marcus and one other singer) that was well received by critics and audiences alike. Most frequent comment: "You've GOT to record this!" And so the team went into the studio the minute the show closed, while everyone was well rehearsed. It was recorded in one day.

Then came editing and mixing. Somehow that was as difficult as the recording was easy. Days passed. Weeks. And then - surprise! Another obligation prevented the duet partner from participating in the release. After a few days of fury, we decided we could not bear to lose all that work. Plus we so enjoyed making the New York Holiday album with all the Miranda artists. Why not invite them all to join Marcus, one by one, in the duets? Delete that one vocal track and record it with Miranda family and friends. They all said yes!

The result is this lovely little album, with eleven wonderful duet partners.
