'Doesn't That Guy Work Security?!' ...it's a question St Lawrence has heard way too many times over the course of 33 years as a professional musician, 28 of which he's spent as an artist/producer. In 2001, after his 1st domestic release on West End Records, an online reviewer described him, rather narrowly, as "the friendly security face of our time". He was that...& so much more!...he performed the opening voice over monologue for the landmark documentary film, 'Maestro'(released in Feb 2000), an opening vocal drop for WNYU 89.1FM's 'The Candy Store' radio show(Sept 2000), ran the guestlist for Club Warehouse in the Bronx for 8 1/3 years('97-'05)whilst holding a "regular position" @ Club Vinyl as its assistant security supervisor & fire safety officer. Interspliced into all of that, he released records in 1988/'94, the aforementioned '01 release on West End, collaborations with Jus Ed(Underground Quality)in '06, Jenifa Mayanja("Imagine If"- Bumako Recordings)in '07 as well as 7 releases of varied genres on his own label- Zone 7 Entertainment from 2005-09! St Lawrence also spent 3 1/2 years playing drums for a local heavy metal band, The Loveless from early 1984 to mid '87. His musical repertoire also includes keyboards and bass. Its been over 7 1/2 years since producing a release & almost 9 years since being a featured artist. The former figurehead for Zone 7 Entertainment is cautiously optimistic about his future musical footing. "Things change so quickly...music, technology, business & after almost 29 years I sometimes feel out of the loop but the love of the music, of what it represents sustains me. I wanna finish what I started and CuzWeKin gives me a support system I didn't have before." The new album, St Lawrence - Evolved...& In Focus, is available download & physical cd sale now!!!
