In February 1999 the saxophone player and organizer of the Helsinki Tse Tse Club, Jorma Tapio, got the idea of inviting Hasse Poulsen to play a concert with Teppo Hauta-Aho and Jari Hongisto. This turned out to be a very happy meeting. Even though Finland was suffering an unprecedented cold wave, the trio played four very hot concerts and decided to continue the collaboration. A decision which was immediately followed by the invitation to play 9 concerts around Finland in november the same year as part of tour organized by the French promotor Charles Gil. The music on this CD are selections from these concerts. It was quite a task choosing theses pieces because each concert had it's own identity and sound as a composition in itself. The hope is theat the presented menu succeeds in showing the special sound and taste of Sound Kitchen.
