Freddie is a native of Albuquerque, NM, and has more than five decades of experience in the entertainment and recording industry. Past performances include concerts with Blood, Sweat & Tears, Fats Domino, The Platters, Freddy Fender, El Chicano, Jimmy Edwards, The Commodores, Ruben Ramos, Tierra, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels.

He has performed throughout the Southwest, as well as Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Reno. Freddie currently performs at a variety of local venues and various events in Albuquerque, both as a solo act (see solo performance on You Tube) & band "Freddie Chavez Foundation"
