The fantastic duo, Kalinka, is named after the tasty bright red kalinka berry which grows in northern Russia near Siberia and the Arctic Circle. The Kalinka duo consists of expert balalaika and bayan (accordian) player who live and breathe the vintage old world classic melodies. While in a recording session they decided to record very short versions of classics to use as cell phone ringtones. Then the idea burst forth: "Let's record these for everyone!" These are the 36 classics in very short versions for ringtones! And they're fun to listen to as short classics, too. These short versions will leave you thirsty for more, longer versions, some of which can be found on other Kalinka CDs available here on CD Baby! Enjoy!
