I write and perform songs that are about overcoming obstacles and rising above intolerance. My grandfather established a democracy in East Europe after WW2 that was crushed by tyranny, so my mother taught me how important it is to protect our human rights. His life's influence, and my witnessing much racial and religious hatred growing up motivated the substance of my songs.

My goal is to encourage the people of the world no matter what background or religion they are. I have sung for over 100,000 people, but even if my message only reaches the heart of one person I will feel like I have accomplished my goal.

I believe obstacles make us deeper so that we can develop a confident, enlightened spirit. Through our compassion we can help others, if through victory over our struggles, we can be trusted.

I hope to be a positive voice for my generation. Although this generation has already lived through terrorism, war, and out breaks of inhumane cruelty, I am determined to shine a beacon towards a new age of humanism in the near future.
