"I didn't cure polio, laughter did! Thank The Big Tickle. Not me." ~ Jonas Salk "Before I heard The Big Tickle, the WPA was just going to hire a bunch of folks to hold sandwich boards." ~ Former President Franklin Delano Rosevelt "The smooth sultry sounds of this album put Karen and Brendan among the greats! Look out Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald!" ~ some ninjas As featured on fantastic podcasts: Chillpak Hollywood Hour The JV Club The Todd Glass Show Karen & Brendan have been ridiculous together for almost a decade. They met at improvisational hothouse... The... Hothouse (hmmmm...), then founded the monthly The Jive Joint show at The Labcabin in Hollywood as members of Suddenly Dapper. They collaborated and logorhea'd all over YouTube with nearly 100 episodes of the love advice improv show "How 2 Love w/ Mike & Dierdra," the comedy poetry series, "Haikus with Haley" and the parody shorts "The Man Whisperer" and "MAIDS." Karen has been seen on "Parks & Recreation" and you can still sometimes catch Brendan and his prop genitalia in "The Boys & Girls' Guide to Getting Down" if you surf movie channels at night. You may have also seen them shilling for the likes of Tide, Burger King, Adoption & Labatt's Blue. You're welcome, capitalism. Karen recently scored some major internet viral cool points co-creating and co-starring in the Huffington Post-featured Funny or Die-recommended webseries "I'm Triggered" an improv series soon to be playing at the Las Vegas Film Festival. Brendan has "written" two improv films, The Light of Love and the forthcoming Looking for the Perfect Beat, starred in viral YouTube hit "Living with Jigsaw" and is currently the primary writing force on AMC/Nerdist's All-Star Celebrity Bowling. Karen has performed improv at UCB, The Groundlings, IO West, Bang! and the Chicago, Denver, LA and Phoenix Improv Festivals. Brendan has performed improv at UCB, The Groundlings, IO West, Second City, Bang!, Westside Eclectic, Lightning in a Bottle... has he written more than Karen yet?... AND the LA Improv Festival. THEN they made this record.
