Teisha Helgerson, the voice of the bands Say Uncle and Amelia, seemed to be working on one song or another pretty much constantly. She had a notebook filled with song fragments, notes to herself, and slices of melodies recorded on her phone as she went about her day.

Carry On is the legacy of all those moments – Teisha’s friends and peers picking up the mantle where she left off, using her words and music as a seed to create something beautiful—something that started with Teisha but in the end, belongs to every artist humming a tune while doing the dishes, tapping out a baseline on a coffee shop table, or scribbling lyrics on a napkin.
