NYC's heavy melodic groove quartet SOS knows that artist biographies can be a tedious display of a publicist's grand vocabulary coupled by a smattering of little known facts that very few people care about. We've seen thousands of press releases and bios come through our hands and they all read the same. So, we're going to mix it up a bit. We could barrage you with sound comparisons and gig highlights from our 7 years in the NY underground rock scene, but doesn't everyone do that? We could write a synopsis of SOS, complete with a timeline of the band's history and all of its members, but that seems a bit pretentious at this point. We could namedrop and let you know what bands we've played with and what musicians and bands we consider influences, but that could be misleading and overall hamper your impression of SOS. So, we'll stick to keeping it simple. What we will tell you is that SOS is a hard rock band whose influences span the entire rock genre. From metal to indie, from thrash to punk and back again, SOS has a little bit of everything in their sound. SOS loves to rock. SOS loves music. SOS has been around since 1994 and has over 250 gigs under their belt. Our second independent release, ADIOS BANDITO, is our latest offering for your listening pleasure. We're not going to describe it to you. We'll leave that up to you to make your own assumptions, comparisons and whatnot if and when you decide to buy it after listening to the sound clips. People have made a lot of comparisons and have said a lot of things about us and our sound. What we can say is that it's refreshingly unique, yet blissfully familiar.
