Welcome to the Vibezlab Xperience that is Urban Xpressionz The EP! Recorded by London writer/producer/musician Pvibez @ his private recording facility Vibezlab Studio. Urban Xpressionz is a showcase and a nod to some of the many elements or fragments of styles that have influenced the Vibez musical vision. The term "Urban Xpressionz" is just what this album is an artistic expression from an urban perspective. NO..its not a rap filled extravaganza but a soulful heart on the sleeve collection of songs written produced & performed by Pvibez (with real instruments) featuring some guest contributions here and there from some very talented UK artists contributing in the form of co-lead vocals, rap, spoken word, horns and horn arrangements. "I wanted a retro raw sound on this body of work with a modern twist I think I pulled it off" says Vibez. Check the raw b-line driven funk of "Funkomatic" featuring a fresh cameo from UK rap upstart Shem with the Jb'esque horn fills courtesy of London saxophonist Dave Shulman a perfect marriage of the past and present, or the dreamy soul ballad "No Fantasy" with the dulcet tones of London's rising star soulstress Dee Freer and the melodic horn & horn arrangements courtesy of UK hornsmith's Vicky Flint and Ben Greenslade-Stanton. Check also the moog bass driven blues n soul of "Send Me A Letter" featuring some showy horn arrangements and trumpet solo courtesy of the aforementioned Vicky Flint. Not forgetting also the Pvibez tour de force "Cyberspace" a spacey accoustic guitar and bass led retro modern soul tune about a partners obsession with the internet and the developing paranoia of the protagonist's fear of a clandestine online affair between his lady and a cyber buddy.
