简介
Greetings Music Lovers. Over the last 6 years, singer/songwriter Tavana has performed 1000+ shows within the (808) area code of his Hawaiian homeland. Tavana’s blend of singer/songwriter, acoustic-blues-rock-roots music has been rapidly captivating the attention of listeners throughout the island chain and east to the mainland. By showcasing his energetic, soulful live music 7 nights a week for months on end in Waikiki, he has sent many of Hawaii's visitors home with a fresh experience far beyond expectation. Tavana's tedious work ethic and innovative sound has gained him extensive radio play of original music like Vanster Hop, Warrior Song and Still They Want More, quickly gaining momentum among the local scene. Tavana's unique performances have also garnered the attention of his long-time idol Eddie Vedder, beloved front-man for the legendary rock band Pearl Jam. Eddie invited Tavana to perform the Hana Hou (Hawaiian for encore) for his 2-Night Sold-Out Solo Performance Concerts at The Hawaii Theater in July 2009. Their rendition of the iconic island anthem Hawaii '78 (written by Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwoʻole, 1978) was so moving for Eddie that he and Pearl Jam released the Live Recording as a Single for their annual Holiday gift to their first 10,000 Fans!! Eddie has given this Live Recording to Tavana (as an mp3) to distribute to his Fans for free, so please download your copy now and spread the Aloha to your friends!! Now carrying this momentum to the continental US, Tavana's exciting fusion sound is attracting eclectic audiences from coast to coast. He recently toured several states, performing in established venues such as Stubb's (Austin), The Shrine (NYC), and Skylark Cafe (Seattle). While living awhile in Austin, Tavana was also featured in the high-profile musical showcase SXSW 2010 & 2011 (South by Southwest).
