Wow, where did it all begin? Well, for me my interest in music began at around the age of 6. I joined my school choir in Grade 1 and I was in choir throughout my school life. I also had the privilege of being selected for the Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands Youth Choir in 2009 and 2010 . I really loved singing although initially was quite shy. I entered a talent show at School (St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal) in 2007 and I remember singing You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. I was pretty nervous as it was the first time I was singing on my own in front of a large crowd. I had to be convinced to do it and I am glad I did because it went really well and that was the start of my musical journey! Various talent shows followed and I then joined the School Band, Royal Flush. We played at various festivals and did really well. A highlight for us was opening for South African Idols winner Jason Hartman. I have great memories of those times and made great friends. Having left school, I have had more time to concentrate on my music. Music is my life. It’s my passion and not a day goes by that I don’t pick up my guitar or jam on my piano and get lost in the music. I really enjoy songwriting and I am super excited about recording my debut album. My first 2 singles have received extensive radio play. My musical influences include John Mayer, The Script, Coldplay and Michael Buble. I am looking forward to the future! It has been said…if people aren’t laughing at your dreams then they aren’t big enough! I have big dreams…. So keep a look out and please share my music.
