Visions of the future have evolved so much from the fiction of 30 years ago until now. Now we have handheld computers, cars that can tell you how to get anywhere in the world, and a worldwide information hub where anything can be reached at any time. In the 1980s, however, there was a different vision. Perhaps simpler, but at the same time, many people feared the advent of a world run by computers. This music is an attempt to capture that aesthetic. Gregorio Franco is a child of the 80s, and he shows it through an almost flawless homage to the original feel of the time, while at the same time bringing his own dark, twisted perspective on what could have happened. Is this the future we dreamed of? How did we get here? Will it ever stop? Can anything stop the War Machine?
