Bass player Phil Chester essentially created Jangala. He brought this trance/repetitive bass line to a session one day and it all sort of naturally fell into place. It is one of our favorite tunes to improve over, and has plenty of space and breadth. We typically take a high energy journey when preforming, and there is no hard set structure, just a few key catch licks and a several lyric verses. Phil cranks throughout, and always kicks up a sweat, as does Mark. The lyrics convey the never ending struggle we all undergoe as we ride the waves of time, high and low, while continually redirecting our destiny.
