简介
As a guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and sound engineer Eddie Brnabic has found himself dedicating a good part of the last 17 years of his life to his art, craft and the development and unfolding of it. Spending the earliest of these years discovering his talents as a guitarist, he eventually was given opportunities to perform live regularly with a cover act in his hometown before thereafter beginning to write, record and mix his own material as a multi-instrumentalist. In 2000 a move from his hometown of Hamilton, Ont Canada to Toronto in an attempt to assemble a band left him at a dead end, though he did manage to muster up an 8 song demo cd in collaboration with a hometown friend during that time. At 19 he then decided to make his his way to Los Angeles, California. After his arrival Eddie then began to search tirelessly for compatible musicians to fulfill his desire to form what was to be his next creation; an intensely fueled, heavy Rock N’ Roll band later dubbed “Beggars Ball” while trying to survive with little money and no contacts. After scouring all of the streets, venues, and classified ads of Hollywood on a daily basis as well as auditioning hundreds of "musicians" and "singers" for over 2 years, it seemed hopeless that his vision would become a reality; seeing how all Los Angeles seemed to have to offer was talentless young dreamers and unrealistic, past-their-prime diehards living some kind of trip. In both cases, too delusional to consider for the band he had in mind. After a couple more years of early incarnations working with various musicians, Eddie managed to put a decent line-up together, who in 2005 began performing at every venue in Southern California as well as making frequent trips to Northern California and Las Vegas, NV. During this time Beggars Ball earned a solid reputation as a live act as well as releasing two albums, “Fight This Town” in 2006 and “1321” in 2007, which Eddie performed the duties of guitarist, bassist, composer & producer as well as mixing and mastering the efforts on a rinkydink $300 8-track. The records, recorded and self-released by Eddie on a shoe-string budget, did manage to sell quite well on the internet and at local shows, all things considered. After a two and a half year tenure leading the band, Eddie felt it was time to move on both on a creative and personal level. In the years that followed Eddie abandoned his former rigidity in musical taste and style along with many other personal lifestyle choices that had him headed in a direction counter to his best interests. One of these being a decision to leave a day job at a well known record store in Hollywood where he'd been schooled on a vast variety of musical genres, artists, and their history to open his own personal studio "The Validity Room" to the public, where he performed the duties of producing, engineering, mixing, & mastering for local bands and artists. During this time, he also attempted to assemble a new band featuring former Beggars Ball members with the addition of a new singer which became a band called Blessid Electric. The band went on to complete work for an upcoming record only to fall apart 3/4 of the way through due to differences between the members. What will become of the finished material has yet to be determined.... Seeing how limiting being in a band could be and unable to find other collaborators of similar consciousness, dedication, and talent, around this time it became very apparent to Eddie that he was to be making music on his own, sans any outside influence or criticism. After a year of unbound creativity, during which he had been in the daily habit of composing, performing, and recording his own instrumental material (which resulted in over 300 compositions), he began compiling selections from the works for his debut solo release "Beatitude" which includes pieces inspired by many styles of music including Rock, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz, Free-form, Acoustic, & Metal. On the disc, Eddie can be heard performing Guitar, Bass, Drums/Percussion, Drum Programming, Piano, Organ, as well as producing, engineering, mixing and mastering the effort. The disc also includes guest performances from some of Eddie's most respected and talented friends. Aside from working on his own material he has also been involved in a variety of other projects including free-form live acts Avant Anticore, Shiner, & Moto Shiner, a Sabbath/Zepp live jam band called Zappada as well as collaborating on some material with former Slash's Snakepit vocalist Rod Jackson. Now, with the release of "Beatitude" at hand Eddie hopes to get his music out to a larger audience as well as establish himself in his fields of expertise on a larger scale, inevitably leading him to the next chapter in his musical journey. for more info please visit : www.myspace.com/eddiebrnabic or www.eddiebrnabic.com
