简介
The History The founder and director, Minister Jerome Greene, formed Voices of Triumph Ministries the summer of 1991. The mission statement of the organization is to extend community assistance through Christian service. Our ministry promotes emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual development in our members. We also assist members with academic and career goals through development of leadership skills in community and civic affairs. In order to promote social and cultural development, the ministry has participated in several community service projects that enabled members to minister in other ways besides music. For example, since 1995 the people in the ministry have been a part of NAACP. VOT has also participated in the Arkansas Land & Farm Development Conference, The March of Dimes Walk America, Walk-a-thon for Diabetes, "A Time to Give" Food Drive for MIFA Food Bank, and sponsors a Sickle Cell Foundation Fund raiser. To also promote cultural development, the ministry has performed in Memphis at the Black Heritage Festival, Africa in April, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Scholarship Pageant and Founders Day, and Operation Happy Christmas for Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. Through the years of the ministry, VOT has been blessed to tour various cities such as Memphis, TN; Jackson, MS; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Nashville, TN; Houston, TX; Louisville, KY; Fayetteville, NC; and Kansas City, MO. VOT has also participated at the renowned C.O.G.I.C. Holy Convocation in Memphis, TN and at the AIMS Convention that is sponsored by C.O.G.I.C. In the city of Memphis, VOT has also been blessed to participate in events sponsored by the local radio stations. For example, VOT has participated in Gospel Gatherings sponsored by then AM 990 "The Light," (now Hallelujah FM 95.7) and the Stone Soul Picnic sponsored by WLOK 1340. Other noted engagements consisted of the Apostolic Convention in Fayetteville, NC, Memphis Redbirds Auto Zone Park, and at the Concert for Diabetes Association in Handy Park. During the 2000 Campaign for Shelby County Assessor, we were featured at a fundraiser at Hard Rock Café on Beale Street. Our most noted accomplishment is the album debut for "Rock the House." Listen for If God Said It, Let's Go Home, Awesome God, You're the One, and many others. We are signed on OH Records - that's Only Holy Records. In addition to recording "Rock the House," VOT sung background vocals for Dobie Gray's recording of People Get Ready on his CD "Soul Days," which was produced by Norbert Putnam, President of CD Memphis and Cadre. VOT is a "blessed ministry that blesses people." In February 2002, we expanded our reaches with the production of the original Black History stage play production, If Walls Could Talk. We were able to give back to the historical Booker T. Washington High School, support black businesses in the Memphis Community, and educate the total population of the Memphis Metro area. VOT reaches out to the community and the community in turn reaches out to VOT. Presently, the choir is rising in faith and believing God when he says "if you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give the desires of your heart." With that in mind, VOT believes that God will give us our desire to minister across this world that Jesus saves and is the answer for the world today. With our hot, spirit-filled projects hitting stores and the airwaves, Our minds are focused on ministry and praising God! A Blessed Ministry That Blesses People!
