简介
"Goodnight! And softly o'er your slumbers may your minstrel's measures stealing, Spellbind, still each care that cumbers, still subdue each stormy feeling, Beauty, mirth, and wit and worth. O fall to sleep most calm and deep, Nor rouse till rosy morrow call, 'Awake and joy go with you all!'" -text from 'Goodnight' (track 13) Stephanie Claussen has been specializing in Renaissance and early music for over fourteen years. At the age of twelve, she won 1st place in the McCalaster Scottish Country Harp Competition and was additionally named “Most Promising Harpist.” Her love for ancient music flourished at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival where she performed as a street musician with her violinist father for eleven seasons. Later she went on to perform with the University of Minnesota's Early Music Ensemble. "Rose - Celtic Harp" is a collection of all the artist's favorite Celtic pieces. Often haunting and even a bit dark at times, these melodies offer a glimpse of the shrouded landscape and poignant history of the British Isles. These solo renditions were performed on a 32-string Gothic harp built by Claussen's father.
