NFR brings serious thought and puts it over some very hip hop beats, documenting some of her own life experiences through the songs. Spending two to four years compiling thoughts and journal entries that would soon become Grime and Glory, NFR makes her debut with a project very close to her heart, one in which honesty is the key. This album is about the analyzings of the mind (or the grime of life), the torture of it, and the beauty within and in spite of it. For anyone who ever feels a struggle with negative thoughts or for those who like a thought-provoking and intellectual vibe, this album speaks to that. From the electronica sound in the opening to the jazz-pop in the middle to the choral-like anthems near the end, it's a truly all-genre-spanning album, and even for those who aren't rap fans, they will find themselves nodding their heads and getting into it quite nicely.
