Mechanismz recording artist Fusionwerks, releases his first full length CD entitled Resolve + Retrospect with 10 hard hitting dance floor tracks encompassing the early years of his musical project. The album starts out with a dark and glitchy intro track, before being thrown straight into the battlefield at the beginning of the second track, “Just beyond our reach” with dive bombing zero’s and automatic gunfire. The track wastes no time in getting straight to the point…That you should be dancing! The third track, “Monsters in the abyss” is one of his most popular tracks at any of the clubs that spin his music. Inspired by the German philosopher Frederick Nietzsche’s Beyond Good and Evil, Aphorism 146, Fusionwerks takes the listener into the depths of the human mind and shares his cautionary words about going down the wrong path in life. “G.A.D.” is inspired by anxiety disorders, while “Cry for help” addresses the breaking point some people reach after suffering from these disorders. “Scathefire” was written during the firestorms that hit Southern California during the summer of 2008. Lots of strange compression effects going on in this track, with its “bouncy bass”. “Distress Signal” takes the listener on a journey with a WWII fighter pilot whose communication has been cut off after a dogfight. The album wraps up with a very special remix of “Supreme Being” by Vendetta recording artist Organic Cage.

All in all, a very solid album that was definitely worth the wait. A must have disc for any DJ that spins powernoise or harsh electronics. We hope to hear more from Fusionwerks in the future.
